From a recent attendance by TCCI President, Mr John Paul Chapman to the Port City Development and Cooperation Forum and 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in Guangzhou, China, TCCI are to sign an agreement to join the ‘One Belt One Road Alliance of International Chambers of Commerce’ (AICC).
In response to the Chinese Government-proposed “the Silk Road Economics Belt and the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road”,and to promote economic developments of the countries and regions along the Belt and Road, AICC,is jointly established by Guangdong General Chamber of Commerce and Guangzhou General Chamber of Commerce, to facilitate international trade and economics activities.
AICC and its support projects have received the attention of China’s National Development and Reform Commission as well as the enthusiastic support from China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Guangdong Provincial, Guangzhou Municipal Government and Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China.
The AICC extended its invitation to TCCI to join as a founder or member of origin.
Also in attendance was the Hon Deputy Prime Minister, Siaosi Sovaleni and Ms ‘Ana Bing, CEO Ministry of Internal Affairs. CEO of TCCI attended the opening ceremony of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road as part of the Young Leaders from Pacific Island Countries Program.
